Why don't you allow comments in your blog?

Why should I use CollinsWorld.com instead of all the other mapping websites that are around?

We believe CollinsWorld.com has some appealing unique features. In particular, our World Atlas is fully integrated with geopolitical country information. And we offer not only current day mapping, but historical mapping below. You will struggle to find this combination of contemporary world mapping, historical world mapping, and country information anywhere else online?

Why doesn’t your website have street level data?

At the moment CollinsWorld.com is designed to be a world atlas site rather than a street mapping site. Other websites, including our partners MultiMap, use our street level mapping on their websites.

Why aren’t all geopolitical changes from a particular year shown in that year’s map in The World Through Time?

Maps in The World Through Time were published at some point during the year shown. Some changes are therefore likely to have occurred to late to be shown in that year’s map?

Why do the maps in The World Through Time come from so many different products and publishers?

Over the last 175 years, Collins Bartholomew has produced world mapping for many different publishers. We have tried to choose the most suitable available map from each year.

How up-to-date is your World Atlas?

We do our best to ensure that our online World Atlas is the most up-to-date available anywhere, be it online or in-print. On average we update our mapping database every 3.5 seconds throughout the year. However, it can take a while before these changes are reflected in the CollinsWorld.com World Atlas.
